Pings are essentials for a blog post’s visibility. It announces other blogs and search engines about your new post. Without using pings to broadcast your message, your post will only be seen by people who type in your URL. Obviously this is a better way to get extra traffic to your website.

Here is a list of ping accepting URLs that I put together. I basically copied from multiple sources, put them in order and removed duplicates. You might find some that appear to be listed more than once. I wasn’t sure if a forward bar “/” made a difference in the pings website so I left it. It will not affect the way you ping, unless you repeatedly ping the URLs more than once per day per your blog post url.

How to use this PING URL list:

• Copy and Paste the list into your WordPress by going into your administrator control panel > setting > writing under “Update Services”. Now every-time you make a post it will ping all those sites. If you edit a page it sends a ping, so use your PREVIEW, instead of hitting PUBLISH to see the edits. A way to avoid this is by installing a free plug-in that controls how pings are sent is cbnet Ping Optimizer.
• Copy and Past into your Pingler. Pingler allows you to ping these websites for free or you can setup with their premium service that will get your websites, blogs, and post pinged automatically every other day without you having to do anything, but pay $2.99 a month. The best thing about spreading the pings apart is that it looks natural to the Search Engines.

So in closing, the importance of pinging is detrimental to the existence of your post. If no one sees it, it’s like it’s dead. Hi Dave, Thanks for talking the time to answer our questions. First and foremost, what is linkvana?

Who should use linkvana or who is an ideal subscriber?
Linkvana really is for any site that is looking to improve their search engine rankings. It’s a system that is designed to do two things really… 1) generate backlinks to your site quickly and easily instead of the extremely manual process associated with backlinking. 2) give you access to a ton of high PR links that cannot be accessed by the average site owner.

We have many different types of users…

Ok, good question… here are some ways that Linkvana can be a huge benefit for the average web property owner. Linkvana is a massive system that you can use to really expand on a typical linkbuilding campaign. Here’s what I mean.

1 – You can use Linkvana for an UNLIMITED number of domains, and keywords… what this means is that you can use Linkvana to juice any link that you build on the web. Say you add an article to ezine articles or one of the other article networks. You can use Linkvana to promote that article on Ezinearticles, which will increase the rank and authority of that page on ezine articles, and then since that page links to your main page, you’ll get more traffic directly from ezine articles AND you’ll get more power from that link. You don’t always have to use linkvana to direct links directly at your main site. You can build secondary sites in wordpress, or even on hosted solutions like hubpages or squidoo. You can promote these pages through Linkvana as well. These are some examples that the typical user might not think of right away. 2 – Most people when they are building links, focus just on their homepage. They do this for a variety of reasons, but in reality, this is not the most beneficial way of building links. Really what you should do is send 40% or so of your links to your homepage, and the rest to deep links (specific pages on your sites). If you your site sells jewelry, and you are targeting the keyword “gold bracelets” – you’d be better to send a few links to the homepage for that keyword, and the rest to domain.com/gold-bracelets.html. This is what leads to authority on Google, and they give you credit for this by letting you take up more real estate on their results page for that keyword. Many times they’ll end up ranking you for BOTH of these pages in their results.

3 – Use diverse keywords and LSI keywords. Again, since we allow you unlimited links and keywords, take advantage of it. You should not ONLY target “gold bracelets” – instead you should also target “24 karat gold bracelets” and “gold-plated bracelets”. Google loves this… It’s more natural and it leads to more traffic for you. If you do this, they’ll start giving you credit and authority for all three of these keywords.

What kind of links are created?
When you build a link on the Linkvana platform, you get to choose the keyword to target and associated anchor text. ALL the links are contextual based… This is a huge benefit of the Linkvana network. Contextual links are the hardest type of links to obtain and Google gives you the most credit for contextual based links. A contextual based link means that it was a link used in an article or other writing style. It’s not a directory style link, or a profile link. When you build a link on Linkvana you will submit the actual content. This is a post or an article, and you select the keyword and you also select the location of the link within the content (we can write the content for you if you do not wish to write it yourself).

Once you load the content up, we will submit it to one of our 1,200 sites. The content (including your link) will end up on a site that is related to your niche. So you are getting a theme-based, contextual link. This is really at the heart of our system and what makes it so powerful. All of the sites have a Google Page Rank 2 through 5, which means they are highly respected by Google.

What kind of reporting is offered?
